Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is looking for a Pharmacy Clerk for our client in Charleston, SC ! This position is an on-site opportunity. Please read below and apply with an updated resume for consideration.
Type: Two-month contract with opportunity for extension or full-time offer
Pay: $20.00 - $23.50 per hour based on experience
Shifts: Monday – Friday, 8:30AM – 5:00PM
Responsibilities of the Pharmacy Clerk:
Dispense any or all of the following: unit doses, specialty pharmaceuticals, injectables, IV, enterals and related supplies following state and federal regulations and company policies and procedures.
May compound medications using appropriate components, and supplies.
Assist in managing infusion pump inventory to include but not limited to processing pick up tickets for pump pickups, managing current pump inventory, assisting with identifying and sending pumps due for routine maintenance including documentation in online portal.
Process, pack, and ship outgoing pharmacy orders, ensuring drug, related supplies and patient collateral (education materials) are included.
May also perform drug/supply ordering and inventory/warehouse duties, including proper storage of drugs and supplies and appropriate refrigeration of perishable product, monitor and adjust/calibrate pharmacy equipment, fill dispensing units.
Prep and scan documents, verify member/patient data, submit prescription orders in computer system.
Contact members/patients to validate data, resolve rejected claims, request payment information, establish priority of order or delivery details, consult on medication shipping issues.
Interpret provider prescription and create order, access, input and retrieve prescription and medical/lab information from computer system, verifies whether order/drug is reimbursable/covered
Qualifications for the Pharmacy Clerk:
High School Graduate or GED required
Pharmacy experience
Valid Pharmacy Technician Registration in South Carolina preferred
Valid drivers license
Move and bend as necessary for warehouse functions
Ability to lift 50 pounds
